Instituto Ondular is a civil society organization of public interest that strengthens cultural, ecological, and educational initiatives through collaborative management, technical assistance, and network building. We act as a bridge between organizations, funders, and communities, fostering partnerships that generate social impact, cultural diversity, and environmental sustainability.

Here you will find projects that are currently in the construction, networking, and mobilization stages. Each proposal is born from listening to local contexts and connecting with partner networks, with the aim of deepening themes such as care, youth, culture, and socio-environmental justice.

Current Projects

Sotaque do Choro

A curated selection of the most emblematic Northeastern “choro” compositions will serve as the foundation for an instrumental music tour through three regions of Brazil.

The project includes free performances and workshops for musicians and students in seven state capitals, promoting access to culture and the appreciation of Brazil’s musical heritage.

Nossa Língua – Mulheres

A documentary portraying the journeys of five women from different Portuguese-speaking countries, united by the Portuguese language and the fight for gender equality in their societies.The work seeks to amplify women’s voices, strengthen collective memory, and foster dialogue between cultures.

TV Búzios.Doc

A documentary about the first open community TV station in Búzios and its role in supporting the local population in building a sustainable future.

The production addresses the fight against real estate speculation and the importance of grassroots communication in a coastal city marked by territorial disputes.

Fernando Sabino Across Minas Gerais

An educational and artistic project honoring author Fernando Sabino, with a focus on reading and integrated arts.

It included a traveling exhibition, teacher workshops, cultural performances in public schools, theater, film screenings, and concerts in Belo Horizonte and other cities in Minas Gerais.

Carnaval Virtual

A pioneering website from the 2000s that documented the revival of Rio de Janeiro’s street carnival. Through images, videos, and texts, the project recorded street bands and cultural events from 2000 to 2011.
